A. Job Title:Electrical Design Engineer

Position Objective:
B. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and layout of printed circuit boards Under the direction of engineering conceptualize and implement the design of new or existing subassemblies. With minimal supervision, designate debug analog/digital circuits to be used on new or existing systems. Make modifications or improvements to existing and special projects.Provide task completion time estimates.Conduct and manage all necessary investigative work pertinent to designs.Maintain project reference documentation, PCB and schematic software libraries, and maintain applicable data base as required. May be involved in continuing engineering maintenance and manufacturing floor support of existing products.Involved in the compilation of project schedules, specifications, test plans, release related documentation, and other duties as assigned. Maintain a proactive posture towards hardware reusability and quality. Perform other duties as required.
C. Decision Making Authority
Has authority to develop design layouts .Has authority to make changes to drawings using ECOs.Has authority to recommend passive parts.Has authority to recommend test plans on printed circuit boards. Has the authority to recommend assembly processes.Follow company purchasing authorization procedures.
D. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
EDUCATION: BSEE in Engineering or related field.EXPERIENCE: At least 5-10 years experience in electronics packaging or a combination of schooling and experience.
E. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
Knowledge of PADS, ORCAD, PCAD, PCAD Schematic systems required. Knowledge of IPC Standards.Skill in developing solutions to design problems.Ability to communicate ideas and concepts orally and in writing.
