The primary responsibility is to provide to create or modify drawings (both mechanical and/or electrical) for parts, layouts, and assemblies from mark-ups under the direction of the Drafting Supervisor. Duties consist of preparing or modifying drawings, materials, specifications and other documentation from specifications provided by the customer, engineer or designer. The duties also include preparing final drawings or sketches incorporating customer specifications and design features.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Create or modify drawings for parts, layouts and assemblies from markups and other technical specifications.
2.Prepare final drawings or sketches incorporating customer specifications and design features
3.Prepare materials, specifications and other documentation from specifications provided by the customer, engineer or designer.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1.Minimum of an Associates Degree, two-year vocational school or equivalent experience in the areas of technical design and mathematics is required.
2.A minimum of two years experience in design and layout drafting utilizing Solidworks is required. Advanced AutoCad skills may be considered. Experience in Anvil a plus. Must be able to read and interpret drawing and specifications. Knowledge of common machining practices is required.
3.Good computer skills in the MicroSoft Office Suite are required.
4.Must be self-motivated, highly organized and have the ability to work independently. Attention to detail, proof reading materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines are required. Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
