Milwaukee area client is seeking an electrical engineer to select, configure, design and create electrical systems and/or electrical components for automated products.
* Responsible for all aspects of electrical design including compliance with NFPA; NEC; UL; CUL; CE; and other location specific codes and standards.
* Accountable for the electrical engineering requirements for all company products and systems including development of new machine technology.
* Thorough understanding of the interrelationship between electrical and mechanical systems.
* Will engineer products and systems to meet specific customer applications.
Education and Skills:
BS in Electrical Engineering.
Programming of PLCs (Mitsubishi, Omron, AB, preferred)
Familiarity with CAD/CAM (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks Preferred)..
Duties:
* Select, configure, design, or create electrical components, and electrical systems involving AC and/or DC circuits.
* Develop maintenance protocols for electrical products.
* Project management including timing and cost of custom built systems.
* Develop schematics, electrical layouts, component selection, and PLC programming.
* Write manuals for equipment and systems.
* Create ladder logic, schematics, technical and related documentation.
* Conduct feasibility studies.
* Investigate equipment failures.
* Support installation and maintenance functions.
* Good communicator.
* Domestic and international travel may be required at times.
