Engineering Technician

Experience in a converting manufacturing setting with experience prefered in pharmaceutical, chemical or food related Background.

High school diploma and post high education a plus
Need high mechanical aptitude and skills

95% engineering duties to cover process improvements in short & longterm projects

Provide daily 'hands-on' analysis to production line improvements above the daily machine repairs.

Work closely with maintenance and engineering/manufacturing depts. to:
- identify constraints in production lines causing them to achieve less than 85% efficiency called Overall Equipment Efficiency percentage
- Implement fixes to the line
- Goals are: reduce downtime, scrap, increase speed & first pass quality
- Find root cause or recurring failures, quick changeover methods, new trials
- Assist with ergonomic & safety improvements
