Jobing Description
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining all equipment associated with a high speed packaging lines, including: casers, depalletizers, pasteurizers, PLC’s, packers, palletizers, fillers, fill level detectors, stretch wrappers, seamers, ink jet coders, and cappers.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
All other duties as assigned by management.
Skills / Requirements
Must have strong packaging and food processing skills, with knowledge and experience with maintenance and repair of the equipment and processes used by the Company.
Must have excellent people skills and the ability to work with maintenance and other personnel.
Must have ability to communicate with co-workers and members of management.
Must be willing to be hands on and quickly be on the spot where trouble is identified working to solve the issue.
Knowledge and experience with PSM, RMP, HAZMAT, HACCP, Safety and Food Safety requirements, helpful.
Requires visual and auditory acuity, hand and eye coordination, finger dexterity and the ability to access all work areas.
May require ability to work in different work environments ranging from cold to hot.
Ability to move and use all items required to perform the primary job functions.
Ability to perform the job in timely manner consistent with industry norms and the companys experience with the time required to perform the functions.
Important Notes
High school diploma or equivalent or more, preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a food production environment, preferred.
Experience with Evergreen, Schneider and ABC Equipment, helpful
Mechanical, industrial electrical, instrumentation background are all helpful..
