Volcom is expanding their art/catalog team and is in seek of an experienced Catalog Production Manager.
Opportunity:
- Volcom Clothing is seeking a Production Manager to oversee & develop the company’s seasonal print and web catalogs/linebooks
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work/Communicate closely w/ existing Catalog/Design/Marketing/Photography counterparts to produce progressive print & online/web seasonal catalogs
- Global communication of catalog objectives and assets
- Develop/Manage Seasonal Project Calendars/Timelines
- Oversee the planning, development and production of catalogs from concept to delivery
- Organize/schedule project status meetings and reports
- Organization/Coordination of photo shoots, shoot itineraries & logistics
- Close vendor relations (price quoting/negotiation, sourcing, research)
- Project budget maintenance/management
- Maximizing the efficiency of processes in the production/development & design groups
- Maintaining and managing the distribution grid for catalogs

Required Skills:
- Adobe In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Expressions Media, MS Office, Quark Xpress
- Detail oriented & organized
- Excellent time management & communication skills (written/verbal)
- Positive Attitude/Team work ethic/Motivated
- Good understanding of print production, prepress and experience with Offset Printing
- Ability to work within a cross functional environment
- Digital Photography skills a plus
Experience:
- 2-3 years of print catalog development (preferably in the Action Sports Industry)
- 1-2 years of team & project management
