Card Cath Lab Tech, Cardiac Cath Lab, Part Time, Flex Shift (SIGN ON BONUS)

Cath Lab Tech

On-Call Hours, Weekends, and after-hours support.

Position Summary:
Cath Lab: Scrubs in for and monitors diagnostic and interventional procedures, electrophysiological studies, pacemaker insertions, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps and Structure Heart procedures. Sets up and breaks down equipment. Performs hemodynamic calculations for patient reports. Trained in treating patients with adult cardiac diseases. Preceptor role in training newly hired non-experience techs.

Schedule flexibility and Some on-call required

Position Qualification:

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or Certified Cardiographic Technologist; if no degree, equivalent on the job training and experience may be accepted;
• Registry or certification in an Allied Health field such as CVT/CCT;
• ACLS and BLS
• RCIS certification preferred
• Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Registry or certification in one of the following (CVT/CCT/RCIS):
  • Cardio Vascular Technologist or
  • Certified Cardiographic Technician or
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist -RCIS
• A.R.R.T.(R) Certified -Preferred
• Hold current BLS and ACLS card.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
