Job Description

Facilities Management, seeks a Program Coordinator, Sr. to be responsible for developing effective programs, overseeing activities and details, and measuring overall success. Duties will consist of managing various administrative tasks, tracking the budget, and ensuring that the program meets organizational goals. This position will also strive to create positive experiences for all participants and repeat best practices for future programs.

Salary Range

$52,000-$56,500 per year, commensurate experience and education. ASU offers a comprehensive benefits package with the State of Arizona.

Essential Duties

  • Receive and respond to departmental emails and requests
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies and procedures
  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve problems with the scope of the position
  • Maintain and update record keeping systems, databases and spreadsheets
  • Run department reports
  • Train and instruct employees in new methods or procedures
  • Use ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
  • Perform computer duties and data entry with accuracy and attention to detail (e.g. create and monitor work orders, track work order response, track/pay invoices)
  • Monitor every step of a project or program for successful completion
  • Track and approve relevant expenses for activities and materials
  • Lead team meetings to discuss progress and maximize productivity
  • Identify best practices and procedures to inform future programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • maintenance of higher educational facilities (classrooms, laboratories, student life, etc.)
  • composing professional correspondence, presentations, manuals, and reports.
  • developing and maintaining effective working relationships

  • work that requires attention to detail
  • using work order systems (e.g. WebTMA, Maximo, School Dude)
  • using Microsoft Office (e.g. Access, Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • prioritizing and completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procedures that increase efficiency

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office cubical setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand/sit for varying lengths of time and travel moderate distances to perform work.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
  • May be required to travel throughout the Tempe campus or to other ASU campuses as requests or as needs require.
  • May assist with resetting classroom by pushing furniture by hand or using furniture dollies.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Drive University vehicle/cart as needed or to assist students.

This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ (on Rural Road south of Apache Blvd).

Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment. Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39 month period from date of hire.

This position is dependent on the continuation of funding from a specific source other than general operating funds. As such, this appointment may terminate when the funding is no longer available.
