Job Description

Provides support to users of information technology tools. Work typically involves fielding questions and giving basic instruction, routine delivery, installation, setup, maintenance, and upgrade of computer hardware and software and media equipment, and some troubleshooting when customer or public-site hardware and software are not operating properly.

 

Salary Range

$39,000 - $44,720 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

·        Assists with departmental applications that support the Electronic Medical Record (Point N Click)

·        First level of support for departmental user needs

·        First Level of support for ASU students for patient portal needs

·        Assists with departmental system access and removal

·        Maintain computer inventory for department

·        Assists with statistics and reporting

·        Primary support for department digital displays

·        Primary support of maintaining department shared computer equipment

 

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in technology or related field AND one year experience providing information technology services; OR, three years’ experience providing information technology services; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months of experience.

 

Desired Qualifications

·        Experience trouble shooting technical issues for both hardware and software.

·        Experience in fielding a wide range of technical questions from a user base spread across multiple locations

·        Evidence of effective communication skills with users with varying technical knowledge

·        Experience tracking and handling computer inventory

·        Experience in providing customer service to ASU students and Staff

·        System Administration experience

 

Working Environment

·        Communicate effectively 

·        Use computers effectively including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen, and using mouse and keyboard

·        Work in an office setting and use office equipment (e.g. scanners, printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones)

·        Sit or stand for extended periods of time

·        Lifting or moving up to 45lbs.
